This is book three in The Fallen Series and my first entry into reading this series. It did not cause me any issues having not read the first two, however I definitely plan to go back and catch up. This series is about angel’s who have fallen from heaven and Az is a fallen Angel of Death. In an attempt to make things right and redeem himself, as well as quench his thirst for violence, he helps a young woman who is in danger. However what he never thought was that he might find a stronger reason to stay here on Earth. This was one massive adventure and I loved the action, the tension as well as the twists and turns of who you could trust. The ending was perfect and a must read for Eden fans.
If you like/love to read stories about Angel's you will absolutely love this series. It has everything you could possible want in a story. Hot, Sexy, Dangerous, Alpha Angels. And when you throw in some shapeshifters, demons and but of course the Alpha Females you have an action packed series.

Angels do not feel. They have no emotions. They have no temptations. They just do their jobs. Whether it was the Angels of Death, Angels of Punishment or Guardian Angels.

Starting with Book #1 in the Series Angel of Darkness introduces you to Keenan an Angel of Death and his human charge Nicole St. James a school teacher who unfortunately is on a death list. You are also introduced to the Leader of the Angels of Death Azrael (Az for short) and Sam. Keenan had been watching his charge for a few weeks and when she was brutally attacked and raped one night, and she spotted Keenan and begged him to help her while she desperately fought her attacker. Now keep in mind humans can't see the Angels of Death unless they are getting ready to die. Keenan torn between his duty and his emotions stood there. But then he did the unthinkable, he touched the attacker which was definitely a no no. It was Nicole that should have died and been taken. Keenan had watched his charge for too long and became emotionally attached to her. Keenan is ripped back to heaven for his wrong deed, advised his charge did not die, reprimanded and then he falls. This book was fab and lays out some ground work for the next two in the series. I'm not putting any teasers/spoilers I don't want to ruin it for anyone.

Book #2 Angel Betrayed was unbelievable. In this book I found out what Sam was (I wasn't sure in book #1 only that he appeared to be a real badass). Az falls in this book OMG and Sam who keeps all his emotions in control meets a human woman and all bets are off. This book was very intense and kept your heart racing.

Book #3 Angel in Chains is actually Azreal's story. He is hell bent on getting back his wings and back to heaven he'll do anything. He's told he needs to redeem himself so when the opportunity arises for him to do a good deed and rescue Jade Pierce for the shapeshifters her ex sent after her. Az considers Jade his temptation but he soon finds out she means more to him and he would move heaven and hell to keep her safe. Can he keep her out of the clutches of Bastian the new head of the Angels of Death. Can he destroy Jades ex without destroying her. He's given a gift from Mateo a powerful crossroads witch to look into the future and try to change it by not making a bad choice. Thus changing the prophecy of an Angel killing his brother and bring hell to earth.

Great Series can't wait for Avenging Angel
This is a fabulous book. The only problem is that the author changed her story from Angel Betrayed. Sam is the one to kill the bad guy in that prior story, not Az. This change in the narrative seriously upset and distracted me. Az didn't need additional credit to seem more dangerous. He and his brother, Sam breathe danger. They both great characters and neither should be diminished to prop up the other.

Jade is in major trouble. She asked for help and got way more than she bargained for. Az has fallen and he wants a way back to heaven. He chooses to help a defenseless human. He gets more than he bargained for. The know lust immediately and find love buried under pain, trouble,and more danger than anyone or anything would want to face. Despite the discrepancy, this is a good book filled with action. Without the discrepancy, this would be a solid five.
